Pat Killingley is Director Higher Education & Education UK for British Council. She has overall responsibility for higher education, including policy work, partnership development and education reform, plus Education UK strategy, branding and marketing.

As a member of the Prime Minister’s Initiative (PMI) strategy group, Pat was involved in developing the PMI international education strategy, launched in April 2006. Under this initiative, the British Council has been responsible for developing 180 international university partnerships over the past 2 years.

Pat has developed education policy dialogues and conferences across the world, including the Going Global international conferences in 2006 and 2008. She is a regular speaker at national and international conferences on international higher education and the global education context.       

Pat has worked in the areas of employment, education, training and education management. She joined British Council in 2002, after working at Sheffield University for 12 years.
