Liz Bromley
Director of Student Life

Liz Bromley was born and educated in Cheshire. The first member of her family to attend University, she studied English Language and Literature at Worcester College, Oxford.
After spending time in the Middle East, Liz worked for BBC, the ICAEW, and Milton Keynes College, before joining the OU in 1996. She held several academic-related posts and became the first non-academic Associate Dean of the Faculty of Health and Social Care in 2003.
After a period as Executive Director of the AUA (Association of University Administrators), Liz joined the University of Salford’s senior management team, as Director of Student Life. Her remit was to design and deliver the University’s first Student Support department through integrated services, co-located with the Students’ Union. ‘Student Life’ was formally launched from University House in October 2009.
Liz is married with children and a springer spaniel called Bob. All four children are in the HE system while Bob remains firmly uneducated.
