Professor Debra Humphris

Debra Humphris is Pro Vice Chancellor Education and Professor of Health Care Development at the University of Southampton. Prior to taking up this post in September 2008 she was Head the Health Care Innovation Unit. The focus of the Unit was to promote innovation in service design and delivery in health and social care. In this role Debra led the New Generation Project (NGP) one of the UK’s leading and largest interprofessional education developments in health & social care education and practice.
Internationally Debra is a well know contributor to the debate about health care workforce and interprofessional learning, frequently contributing to conferences and policy debates on workforce change and innovation in public services. Debra is a member of the WHO Study Group on IPE and a member of the InterEd Board.
